Still searching for my Westy. In browsing the prospects, I've run
across two late-model (a '90 and a '91) Westy which had automatic
transmissions. I've been told by a friend (owns an '84 Westy) that an
automatic transmission steals power from an already power-poor
vehicle.

True?

Opinions/advantages/disadvantages of auto vs. manual?
