Wow. I can not tell you guys who contributed how much I enjoyed reading the entries. And I was pretty weepy by the time I got to number 5; I was awash in Vanagon memories. (But then again, I cry at the drop of a hat.)

Thanks to all, it was a GREAT idea!

and on a lighter note (not really) ...

I posted this to the EV list and haven't heard anything:

Last trip in the evc, the fridge died yet again, and this time there was an especially pungent hunk of imported blue cheese in it at the time. I can't get rid of the smell, and it's worse than my memory of the nastiest of my grandfather's Limburger. I have tried baking soda. I have tried washing it out thoroughly with a mild bleach solution. Any other ideas? TIA.
