        First '87 Vanagon had the leaking head syndrome at 80K and after
repair went to 170K, then cracked the block with no discernible warning.
Bought another '87 last summer. This one had a factory rebuilt engine with
50K on it. It now appears to be leaking coolant. These are not good engines.
