Yes, the correct max pressure for 6ply rated Y356 tires is 50psi, but if you have the 8ply rated Y356 tires, they are rated up to 65 psi.

The Yokohama tires are designed different than the original reinforced tires that may have come on your Vanagon. Someone on the list may know what those tires were and the max pressure.
