In my 10+ years as a pro tech, I never saw a VW spec for any more or less than 80#. My wheels are torqued at 80, and if you ever have had a flat on a cold, wet december then you might be smart to get back to Sears and have them retorque the wheels-I would stick with 80#- but anything up to 95-100# would probably be OK. Over torquing results in warped rotors, damaged wheel holes and calling a tow service at 4 am when you cant get those last two nuts off. imho Patrick
