Hello,

I had 'forgotten' about the pin shearing off the 1/2 fork and just before it breaks it can cause difficulty in shifting into either 1st or 2nd gear. I did a '84 091-1 box last month with just this problem and failed to mention it as a potential source of the hard shift into 2nd for Jill. Also, I cannot stress this enough is the use of the synthetic GL4 in this trans! Big time 'sticky' syncros can result by not using this type of gear oil.
