Good point, but another thing to remember is the fact that radiator reliability can be precarious, too. Some guys around town have had to put some Bar's Leak into their systems for the radiator, and my radiator was replaced by the PO before he sold it.

Solution: nurse the van like it's aircooled, watching the temp gauge closely, to be sure you're good to go. :)
