Subject: Fixing propane shutoff valve in '82 Westy?
Comments: To: vanagon@vanagon.com, type2@type2.com

I may have a small leak in my propane valve. When I open or close it I sometimes feel a "draft" of something cold (evaporating LPG?). I can't notice anything when it's fully opened or closed.

Used up all the LPG during the last trip so now would be a good time to check things out and fix what needs to be fixed.

I checked Bentley, but it doesn't deal much with the propane system other than how to R&R the whole thing.

Anyone replaced the propane valve? Remember what size or type of replacement valve I need? Can I just change some bushings to renew it?

Thanks, Martin -- Martin Jagersand email: jag@cs.yale.edu Computer Science Department jag@cs.rochester.edu Yale University
