The only thing I can say to that is that some of these people who claim to be using JB Weld, say they are getting lots and lots of miles out of them without any problems.

I know that what they teach in trade schools and any garage will tell you that is the way to do it (welding and machining) but listen to the people out here in the real world and keep an open mind about it. I'm not advertising for JB Weld, but think about all the possibilities if it truly does work.

The guy at Northwest Connecting Rod welded and machined mine too. If I remember right, it cost an extra $40 to get it done, which compared to $450 for a new head is chicken scratch.

There are those out there though that are on a tighter budget than you can imagine and hey if it works, who am I to say it isn't proper. Brian G. Backus
