hey all.

I'm hoping to find myself a bus for the summer and was hoping i might be able to get some tips from y'all as to what i should look for.

right now i'm currently looking at a number of type 2s, mostly 70-72 models. i was wondering what the approx value of one of these should be, considering most have recently rebuilt (or new) engines.

further, i'm wondering what it's gonna take for me to learn the vw ropes. I ready and willing to learn how to maintain a bus, but this will be my first car, and i have had little experience repairing or restoring any vehicle.

any thoughts on the whole situation would be greatly appreciated.

thanks in advance.

craig. still looking.

p.s.-is it possible to cram 4 ppl and a bands worth of gear into a type 2, i know a vanagon can swallow our gear whole, but i wanted to confirm this fact.

seeyame
