Be wary of this! My second of three sets of water jacket gaskets blew in this manner with little forewarning starting with just a minor drip. Luckily I was 1/2 mile from home when she blew and I was able to "limp" home. If you have over 80,000 miles on your van and have not changed the head gaskets and related seals, I would not travel farther from home than you can return with no coolant!

A headgasket veteran - 3 sets in 200,000 miles.
