Hi!;


 Its getting near spring, and I'm thinking about getting the Van back on
 the road. I have a problem that I'm wondering if any list member can
 help me with.


 I am looking for a Electronic Control Module for my '81 air cooled
 Vanagon.  I found one at a wrecker's but the part number does not match
 the one in the dealer's catalogue.


 The dealer's listing is:


                         039 906 021 B,


 and the found one is:
                         022 906 021 F


 Does anyone know if the one I found is likely to work?  The dealer says
 his number replaces previous numbers, but doesn't have earlier listings
 - either does Volkswagon Canada.
