Just buy a new one, then you 100% sure.They are not that $$$.

Can't hurt and about time.While you're at it I would take the radiator to a shop that can "blast " it out. This is the most important thing you can do.

???Huh?? A lot of mechanics are "turn" crazy. Only have the rotors turned IF ABSOLUTELY necessary. A few small grooves won't hurt anything.

Does the temp needle stay over the LED? Then it's working.

Hmmm..Not sure what you mean here. If they are not leaking and you are not over heating then they are probably OK. A compression test is a good indicator of engine health.

I have never tried either of these. Both sound like a Band-Aid. Take a lap-top with you and a 13mm wrench, you'll be fine;^)
