  Ten Volt reg. are avalable at any GOOD electronic shop. TRY LM2937
  or TL750M10.   You must get the data sheet, and check the pin out!

  Also if the existing regulator is blow out, there is an extiting
  problem I would solve first. Check to make sure the ground lead
  is making a good ground. The only other problem that would cause this
  is much load. Unlikely if it works for a time.
