If the VW marketing people had any smarts they could pre-sell all 2500 '98EVs by

1/ Conducting a letter campaign to Vanagon/Bus owners of record pre-announcing the availability of the '98Evs and offering favorable trade-in discounts.

2/ Setting up shop on the Web for Build-to-Order for these vehicles instead of doing business as usual...IN FACT, Camper versions should be orderable this way, anyway!

But...I must have inhaled too much THC...remembering when VW actually cared enough about customers to allow them to ORDER vehicles...
