Hello,

I apologize if you are seeing this twice, but my first attempt bounced with a server error. My re-send got rejected by the list server as a duplicate, but I never saw either on the list. So, this is my third and last attempt.

Thanks, Mike

--------- Hello,

I installed one of these on my '84 last year after driving without one for 12 years. Because you can get used to anything, I found the change quite a surprise. But yes, I like it.

I think that perhaps I bought a little more than Joel did though. Gene Berg recommends both the short shift kit and a shift extension be installed at the same time. The net result are throws about the same length as before, but the shift lever about 6 inches higher. You could argue that it would be hard to put the shift lever in a more convenient place. It's right up by the steering wheel, so the third gear reach is level and not down, so it's not a stretch like before.

Mike
