Wonder where the Maryland DOT got their numbers?

These numbers don't jibe with the American Petroleum Institute's which show taxes paid on motor gasoline by state (as of 9/87):

and so on

I believe that API's chart includes Federal + State taxes. Local sales taxes on gasoline vary by county...here in California, sales tax adds another ~8% to the cost of fuel.
