While planning our trip around New England later in the year, it occurred to me that with the age of our vans, it would be nice to have a list of service shops that can help us out in a pinch.

So, I thought why not get a list of v@v listmember recommended shops and compile them at a web site. I threw together some html (could still be buggy...lemme know), including a form where you can submit the ones you like. The idea is that it'll be on one page so you can print it out and shove it in your glovebox with your LiMBO TTT guide (if you don't know what that is, go to my website and find the LiMBO link). This would have helped when the ECU crapped out 100 miles from our house.

It only has one listing right now...the shop where our van is right now (and has worked on her before). I have to add them by hand after the form sends me an e-mail, so your input will not show up right away.

If this has been done before or you think it's a dumb idea, just slap me around and I'll quit. Perhaps if it proves worthwhile and when it stabilizes, I'll give it to Coyote to put on vanagon.com.
