Dane,
I wouldn't route any hose inside the van, any additions to the propane
system would be from the y connector after the regulator, i would have it
machined to accept a brass fitting which is connected to a hose and then a
brass valve towards the side of the sliding door of the van, another
propane fitting to fit the brass valve to the appliance you plan to supply
propane with.

By the way for the stove, I fabricated a smaller grille which fits into the
original grille usng stainless steel rods (removable), I have the same
problem while using my portable espresso maker, now I can handle the
smallest pots in the world.
