Fellow a/c wannahaves, Bentley says that the rear side cabinet in the Westie should be removed to gain access to evaporator. Am I reading that right or is there a short-cut? I'm in the process of replacing defunct a/c components with the expansion valve being one of the recommended parts to renew. It resides with the evaporator I believe. Looks like a $1,000 job after everything is done, I'm still dithering about converting to R134a (not as cool as R12 I'm told) Will post final outcome and intervening whining during this ordeal. Any suggestions welcomed. Rick Koller '90 syncro-westie (warm a/c) '91 gl auto box (also warm a/c!$!$!) |
