No someone didn't break into my van. My table will not open up so my father and I decided to figure out why today. At the end of our adventure almost all the the vans internal furniture was sitting outside on the ground. I was surprized that the van is insulated with fiberglass insulation! My father, who is a building contractor, was impressed. This couple inch thick insulation must be one reason why this is the most quiet Vanagon I have ever driven. I think I might do this to my '85 as well and maybe tighten her up a bit. The table's latch is not functioning properly. It will lock but when it is pushed it will not unlock. Is this a common problem? My Dad suggested we change the locking mechanism. What do you guys think? All in all very impressed by this Carat. Almost hate to give it up but you know what they say about if you love something let it go and yadda, yadda, yadda... Ken Wilford John 3:16 |
