My syncro has had a bra since before I bought it (bought 15 months ago). Looks great but you definitely pay a price with (as you said) a rubbing off of the paint createing a haze. It also hides a fairly minor but noticeable (w/out the bra) 2 foot long ding that was made before I bought it. Bottom line from my experience if you buy a bra you are going to have chafing after time. --note-- I leave it on all the time (except when I wash the car, then I wash and detail the bra as well, along with putting two coats of wax on the surface exposed to the bra).
