> would like to install 2.0L engine complete with F/I system from the >Vanagon into my '73 (I Like Fuel Injection<<G>>), but could covert to >Weber for awhile if need be... I've put a FI engine in a 73 before, also in a '65 21 window once. It was a '78 engine so I can't help you with the tin, but that shouldn't be too hard. The fuel tank on a 73 only has one fitting (out). The FI system needs to recirculate and has two fittings that go into a baffle box inside the tank. I set one up with the FI return line spliced into one of the vents on top of the tank, the problem with this is that you tend to run out of gas on hard corners when below 1/4 tank. A better solution is to drop in a FI tank from a '79 or earlier FI bus. Have fun! -Otmar- ------------------------------------------------------------------- Electric Vehicle Components Ltd.
