The earliest watercooled Vanagon that I am personally aware of is one belonging to a Canadian customer of mine, which was, according to him, both manufactured AND titled in late 1982(!!). I recall him saying that there were some special circumstances regarding its turning up in Canada in '82; it was specially imported from Germany by VW of Canada, or a dealer, or something like that. -Ron Salmon The Bus Depot |
