Hello: I have the opportunity to upgrade my 84 Westy (1.9 motor, auto trans.) with an 1986 2.1 (std. trans.) that is in better shape and has a new exhaust system. I understand that the fuel injection, exhaust system, and cooling hose layout are different between the two years. Can anyone tell me what difficulties I may have with the swap? In particular, will the '84 fuel injectors fit the '86 motor? Will the '86 exhaust system fit under the '84 body? What about cooling hose and electrical wiring differences? My Bentley manual only covers up to 1985. I am retaining the auto trans. in the '84. Please respond to chiang1@usa.net as I have limited internet access time. Thanks!
