I thought ya'll might be interested, with all of the talk about lust for
those rad bumpers. I too lusted after these but after Kyle told me the
cost I realized that I would have to settle for NOS. But I got to
thinking, is not American steel as good if not better that German steel?
(except for Pintos and Pacers...but lets not forget the VW Dasher) My
point is Why not have some made here. I took the picture from the PZ web
site to a couple of welders and got some estimates for custom bumpers,
then as if an answer to my prayers I received that post from Michael
Sullivan with diagram and measurements. I faxed it to more welders and as
we speak I am having "knock-offs" made. I will let everyone know how they
turn out. I am having mounts for fog lights welded on the front and a 2"
inch receiver integrated into the rear ( thanks for the idea Jim ) Total
cost is $650 plus the cost having them powder-coated. I'll try to post some
pictures when completed. Or Check 'em out at next years Syncro-Safari.
