Ray, I like your idea better than mine. I don't have the kind of computer
equipment nor access to it to do the job or I would do it. But I do know
that the CD writers are available andthey work. Where I use to work they put
all the engineering stuff on CD ....formulas, drawings, etc. That would be a
very good approach. Including the microfiche would be excellent but it does
reiase the question of copyright. Maybe some list members that are legal
eagles can help clear the air on that.

Sounds like a great idea - got my vote. While at it why don't we try and
organize one of our list members with access to the microfiche of Vanagon
parts, you know the one with the exploded diagrams of how our vans are put
together, and copy them onto CD. That way we can have access to the wisdom
of the archives and ready reference to the parts and how they all fit into
the scheme of things. We needn't worry about the part numbers as they
change every so often. I think both would be invaluable to anyone working
on their Van.
Any ideas on this one.
