Here's a simple Friday guide on how to torque the wheel lug nuts on a vanagon: Using a 1/2" drive with a 17 1/2" extension, our own in-house research department determined the following: After considerable torque-testing, we arrived at these practical figures: 1) If you are a gentle person of slight build, tighten the nuts harder than you can. 2) If you are a person of medium build, tighten the nuts as hard as you can. 3) If you are big, strong, and work-out regularly, tighten the nuts almost as hard as you can. Happy to be of assistance. Harald '90 westy |
