I located the problem with my gas tank overflowing onto the ground when it was filled at the gas station: one of the Y fittings was cracked. According to the Dealer, both Y fittings and the cross-tank breather hose are actually one piece of plastic. That and the rubber seals will be $25.00. Now on order. Thanks to all the list members who helped me with suggestions. Next problem is with the heater blower fan. It doesn't blow. However, when the switch is turned on, the dash lights dim and the fan is obviously pulling lots of Amps.... any suggestions on ways to get at the blower unit? I read the manual and you have to literally tear apart the whole front dash of the bus to get to the motor... take out the steering column and all like that... surely there must be an easier way... I thought about finding a shop with a high pressure compressed air blower and seeing if I can clear out any debris that might be blocking the blower from turning because I recently replaced a crumbling rearview mirror and felt that it might be some bits could have fallen down the defroster vents and jammed up the blower. The PO claims that the blower worked for him and did not report any noises or anything that might indicate a fan motor going bad. Any suggestions? Regards,
