I like the idea of a cd with the archives and some of the VW illustrations very much. There is another hint for those of you who do not have microfiche readers. VW produces printed books of all the drawings of their cars. They contain the same drawings as on the microfiches but do not have the part numbers and prices. They are sold in Germany through VW dealerships and cost 5DM. My "Typ 2 Syncro" 1988 book has the number M092 205. They are a great asset when want to know how things are assembled, what parts are needed and to get by without long verbal explanations when you buy parts.
