Do you read the Vanagon list in digested form? Do you want a better way to view mail than in one huge block?

I just found out that Microsoft Outlook '98 handles MIME email digests correctly. This means that when you receive a digest, you can click on the 'attachment' icon and a pop-up list of all the letters in that digest will appear. When you select a message from the pop-up list, you can read (and respond to) that message as though it were sent to you individually.

Microsoft Outlook '98 is currently available for 32-bit Windows platforms for free from http://www.microsoft.com/outlook/

For those who use other platforms or simply hate Microsoft (and justifiably so!), Pegasus mail also supports MIME email digests:

http://www.pegasus.usa.com/

Lastly, if you wish to receive MIME digests, you must turn on MIME in your settings by sending the following letter to 'listserv@vanagon.com':

set vanagon digest set vanagon mime
