While the thermostat HOUSINGS are different (2wd has plastic, Syncro has
aluminum), the thermostat is the same (025-121-117F, 87c).  No where in the
parts films (I have the old as well as the latest) do they show a different
Thermostat.  Would someone care to enlighten us?  Sam, the archives are
silent on this one.


BTW, there is a lower temp rated Thermostat from the factory - 80c.  I sell
these get $21.50 and include the O-Ring with it.


I've heard (and seen in the archives) that the aftermarket-made thermostats
have a slightly oversized "disc" that can hang up in the housing, so buyer
beware - only use original German 'stats.
