Ken -

According to VIN Survey put out by VW (just got the latest Fox film today to update my collection), all Foxes sold in the US were manufactured at the San Bernardo do Campo VW Plant 87-93. Check the VIN of my Fox Wagon:

9BW - Indicates VW do Brazil (3VW is Mexico) DB2 - Non Significant Check Digits 30 - Indicates Fox Sedan or Wagon 7 - Non Significant NHSTA Check Digit L - Model Year (1990) P - Mfg Plant - San Bernardo do Campo (M is Puebla, Mexico) 015891 - Serial Number of the Vehicle

Are there any Foxes out there with "3VW" at the beginning of the VIN as well as an "M" in the 11th Character/Digit of the VIN? I don't think so.

My engine says made in Mexico though.
