If it means anything, Mobil is advertising that Porsche uses Mobil 1 in all the vehicles that it manufactures. I think that this is what dealers use also. I've been using Mobil 1 in my '92 Jetta GLi (96K) and our '88 Vanagon GL (92K) for a long time. I drive them both hard (after warm-up) and have had no oil related problems. I think that Mobil 1 is probably as good as you can get.
