I finally got around to taking the valve cover off the right side of the engine in the Syncro today. Yeah, I know, it me forever to do stuff! Well, any way, I took it off to see how much the valve train was moving...check for stuck valves, bent pushrods, whatever that would cause that sid eto have only 40 - 50 lbs of compression. When I got the cover off I found lots of movement...too bad the engine wasn't running! The nut on the front stud had fallen off and the back stud had snapped off! So, at least that was some "good" news. At least now I don't have as musch concern about rebuilding/replacing the engine, just the studs in the head.

Now I have to go back and re-replace the main seal. Seems to have slipped off. Oil is pouring out of between the engine and bell housing. Always something..........

well, out for now.......
