VW Australia recalled my Van to carry out a refit of the injection system just after I bought her about 1995. Reading the list some of the listeer's are also having recall notices sent to them for what appears to be the same thing.

In the case of Australia, VW simply got the details from the Dept of Roads and Traffic ( your D.O.T. ) Unfortunately this costs money. I guess VW did the Oz vehicles first because there are no where near the number of Vanagons down here as in the States or Canada.

The problem stated was that some of the hoses were subject to failure and could cause fire. I was happy as a pig in poop. I had intended to strip the injectors down and have them cleaned by ultrasound anyway
