Hi all,

I know this has been discussed before, but just how important is grounding the engine more than VW already has for the Vanagon. I have an '84 which had a head rebuild approx 8000 miles ago (78,000 in 1994).I bought it from a older lady who basically had everything done at the dealer, including the heads which VW sprung 80% for. All the bills exceed the price I paid. It was stored for a while, but everything seems to be fine at this point(knock on wood).

If this is an important issue, how much extra should I ground and where? Would running a wire from each head to the engine compartment be enough or are there other points of the engine which may need this also? How about the radiator. I change my coolant once a year and I maybe put 6-8000 miles on it a year. It's not my daily driver.

Thanks -steve-
