NADA's "Blue Book" database goes all the way back to 1979. So much for the subjectivity. Personally, I think Vanagons had been grossly overpriced since they first came out. The C#^%$!@r minivans weren't THAT great, but they underpriced the Vanagon considerably and outsold it by leaps and bounds. VWoA, if you're reading this...
