I am sure that someone has.  Actually there was just a thread about this last
month.  I wouldn't do it though.  Makes mpg go down, and the probability that
you will not be able to make it through smog (emissions) tests go up.  Fixing
your FI setup is the easiest and best way to go as far as I am concerned.
