Spend the dime(s) and call VW Heritage.. remembering the time difference. If your not sure what publication you need they are pretty helpful.

I don't open the engine hatch without the breakouts and diagrams in this book. I call my local VW dealer mention the page and part number and like magic he has it on microfiche with a price.

I've ordered, billed to my VISA and had the books within (2) weeks - The Type 2 cost me around $17.00 including handling.
