I was involved in conversion of a '75 Fiat Spyder to CIS. (It was running 2 dual side draft 40mm Webers-smokin') Fiat later started using EFI but never CIS. Air ducting and fuel lines were not too big of a hassle-get someone who has the proper kit for heat shrinking the lines-don't use rubber hose and clamps! But the kicker was having adaptors made to fit the small, CIS injectors into the large EFI injector holes. We took a appx.2" diameter tubular block of Delrin (?) plastic and had it machined to about the size and shape of the EFI inj. Expensive , but worked very well. Used a air meter from a BMW 320i the right size for a 2L motor, but most other FI bits were VW. A fair amount of work, but the car was much more driveable, if not as fast. If you need more info/advice, I'd be glad to help. Patrick F.
