Thanks to all for clearing this up for me. Tom, you described my condition perfectly. I am now convinced the engine must be installed for the slave cylinder to work properly. I will be installing the engine (hopefully) this weekend and will report my results back to the list.

Thanks again Tom, Sean, Ken. BTW Ken do you make house calls to WVA??? (just kidding)
