Volks, I am losing a small amount of coolant somewhere in my 82 Diesel Westy. I suspect the heater core for when we made a 150 mile trip a few weeks back w/heater on and flowing water, I could hear a noticeable "spitting" coming from under the dash that stopped when I turned the water off to the heater. What do you volks think, must be the heater core, huh? There is no water dripping down anywhere, would it be vaporizing. I don't really smell anything either, I am losing coolant however. How difficult is it to "dig out" this heater core (dash unit) in my Westy? Is this do-able by a semi pro or require the patience/skills of a pro?
