.. to anyone who is contemplating taking off this weekend. Go. Go anywhere; be creative. Grab a jar of peanut butter, jump in the van, and drive. I took off yesterday and spent the night in the middle of a friend's orange grove so I wouldn't have to deal with the touristas in the public haunts. It was quiet and delectable. The only intrusion was a wayward cow whom, I _think_, may have been trying to mate with the EVC. I got up this morning early and cruised under an almost-full moon up to North Florida to run an errand, and then back to Sarasota this afternoon.

FL I-75 traffic report: crowds are thick with pockets of maddening, but everyone's moving fast, like 80-85, except a stretch between Tampa and Sarasota where there are some brush fires. I didn't see one person being ticketed. AND I saw 8 Westies, 2 Vanagons, and 2 busses between High Springs and Tampa.

A question: Do we have any count of the number of women on the list? Joel? Anyone?

Apologies in advance to Backus, Brian G if he finds this superfluous.
