Subject:      Rear Window Wiper Retrofit

Vanagoneers;

Here's a question that I've been meaning to post for some time - just now getting around to it. I have an '87 Vanagon GL that came without the rear window wiper. A year or so ago a buddy of mine was parting-out a Vanagon with a rear wiper/washer so I got the wiper assy., washer reservoir, pump, and inner side panel with the cut-out for the washer fluid reservoir filler neck. I did NOT get the rear wiper relay or column switch (hindsight is great, ain't it!). My question is: What kind of a task is it retrofit the rear wiper/washer into a Van that didn't originally come with them? Would the wiring already be in place? Is modifing the switch just a matter of pulling out the wedge?

I need to either install these parts or get rid of them - my parts collection is such that I'm starting to loose stuff.
