I have an 85 (per vin #) and the plug wires and distributor use the old-style connectors (old as shown in Bentley). I am assuming that they may have been used because they were cheaper or available instead of the new ones, and I am wondering what the difference is other than the connectors. I also considered the possibility that the engine is an 84..is there an easy way to tell? The coil is new-style, and the center wire connector to the distributor is micy-moused to fit it. I just read at oldvolkshome that the 85 uses cap 03 212 is this new or old style?
