Ken, the table latch on my 90 Carat failed a couple of years ago. I tried many times to open it, to no avail. Applied a LOT of pressure to force it open, removed the fasteners at the top, nothing worked. Then one day it just popped open on its own, so I removed the latch and found the same problem you did. I thought about replacing it, but the dealer still hasn't found the table on his micro-fiche. Now that I hear about so many other Carat owners having the same problem, I think I'll just leave it alone. Maybe velcro or a latch from Camping World to hold it in place. If you come up with another good solution, let us all know.
