Fellow Listees,

A few days ago I made a posting to the List about a few brand new OEM 1.9Liter VW Turbo-Diesel engines I was lucky enough to find. For those of you that missed my original post, these are new (not rebuilt) 1.9L indirect-injection (not TDI, hence do not require a computer or fancy wiring harness), complete with manifolds, turbo, and injection pump, turnkey, ready to bolt in. Quantities are extremely limited, and I have started filling orders on a first-come, first-served basis.

These are beautiful motors, and are a bargain at $3995. They are not the VW Industrial motors. They are automotive engines, as offered by VW in overseas markets in the Golf/Vento(Jetta)/Passat/Transporter(Eurovan). Pretty quiet and smooth, due to hydraulic lifters, powerful and very torquey. They work great on the Vanagons, and the powerband is ideally suited to move the bulkiness of a Vanagon, as maximum torque is available at around 1800RPM.

Let me know if any more of you folks could use one of these in your aging, old, tired or simply dead Vanagons.

Sincerely,

Vic Ahmed Madras Motors, Inc.
