Hey Volks, I'm relativly new to the vw world, as an owner, just purchased an '88 Vanagon weekender. I've had a great time in it for the past 5 mo. or so. My delema right now is I want to re configure the inside. I've seen how the '89-'91 vanagon Carat's are arranged, i.e: the folding table, rear facing seats, and have decided to try and install these features. I love the idea of the folding table in the rear, it could be so handy. In negotiating this i realize that I could "jerry rig" a table for the back, but I like things to be the way they were designed to be, so..... I've been searching for the driver side wall panel which will conceal the folding table and have found it from two places; 1) Califiornia Campers ( $150 for side panel, table and hardware) and 2) Madras motors ($450 same deal from a '91 mutivan), both say they are like new parts. I would look at them if they weren't cross country, both are in CA while I'm in VT. My question is how do I know which to get, has anyone had any dealings with either one of these companies, is there anything in particular I should be weary of when purchasing used parts. ANY IMPUT/SUGGESTIONS WILL DO thanks volks jon '88 vanagon weekender
