The water pump squealing could also be a broken Alt. bracket. Mine was making noise so I tightened it up a bit; and then it started squealing again. When I finally rebuilt the motor I found that the bracket had snapped in half. The guy at the place where I had it rebuilt said this was common and he had one he sold me for like $20. It's worth checking anyway...
